Your suspension comes from the factory with parts that were designed to wear out (primarily soft-metal bushings; i.e. brass and aluminum). How fast they wear is dependant upon your riding style and frequency, as well as your fluid-service interval, but all suspension wears with time. As it does, your suspension loses it's damping characteristics.  In extreme cases, worn bushings will cause binding that accelerates the degradation process.

Periodic rebuilds are highly recommended for this reason, in order that your suspension continue to deliver the best ride possible. A Rebuild involves disassembling all components, thoroughly cleaning and inspecting for wear, then notifying you if any parts need replacing. An oil change is included in the price of a rebuild and all replaced parts are returned to you.
